Princess Mononoke (dir. Hayao Miyazaki, 1997) ****

Warrior Prince, Ashitaka, receives a cursed wound off of a dying god, having to travel west into the forbidden forests in search of the Deer god, a god who may be able to remedy Ashitaka’s injury, the young prince encounters a war between men and the gods of the forest in Hayao Miyazaki’s adventure filled epic.

I have just watched the last of the Ghibli films I had access to, hopefully I’ll be able to watch more in the future! It was fantastic and really exciting!

Howl’s Moving Castle (dir. Hayao Miyazaki, 2004) *****

An amazing masterpiece from Hayao Miyazaki, the film follows Sophie, who, after meeting the mysterious wizard Howl, is transformed into a ninety year old woman by the wicked witch of the Waste, in order to try and lift the curse, Sophie finds herself on an incredible journey with Howl on his moving castle.

This is an amazing film, i just watched it today! x

Kiki’s Delivery Service (dir. Hayao Miyazaki, 1989) ****

Kiki, a thirteen year old witch in training, and her cat, Jiji, leave home for a new town, not able to do many spells and  unsure what her witching talent could be, Kiki sets up a courier service, delivering goods on her broomstick, in Miyazaki’s delightful film.

This film was  amazing!

Porco Rosso (dir. Hayao Miyazaki, 1992) ****

In Miyazaki’s delightful Porco Rosso, set in the Adriatic in the 1920s, a bounty hunting sea pilot, turned into a pig by a magic spell, has to take on an hot-headed American pilot out to make a name for himself.

I loved this film! It’s so good!

Laputa: Castle In The Sky (dir. Hayao miyazaki, 1986) *****

In Laputa: Castle In The Sky, another masterpiece from Hayao Miyazaki, Sheeta learns that she is a descendant to the thrown of the once great Laputian empire, when she and Pazu, an orphan boy from a small mining town, are caught up in the race between sky pirates and government agents who want Sheeta’s crystal necklace in order to find an ancient floating city.

My Neighbour Totoro (dir. Hayao Miyazaki, 1988) ****

In Miyazaki’s wonderful fairytale, My Neighbour Totoro, sisters Satsuki and Mei escape in to an adventure filled world of spirits and magic while their mum is recovering from an illness in hospital.

Totoro is such a big cutie!
